Reading all three stories showed creative ways to make your portfolio your own. It was extremely insightful to read these stories and see how the three designers were not satisfied with just turning in a normal resume and created their own personal book. I liked to read about the different ways that they created them, using custom iron ons, and sewing the books together. Knowing that most likely there were better responses to the booklets than normal resumes. In Dennis Fuentes’s section he said that the interviews he was invited to, the places were not even hiring but they were inspired by his booklet and wanted to meet him. The booklets show potential employers a sense of initiative and creativity that may not be conveyed through a typical resume. After reading these I will definitely be doing something original and creative when it comes to me searching for internships and jobs.
