After attending the first group of Senior’s final critiques, I was left feeling inspired and excited for what is to come for me on my graphic design journey here at Judson. One of the projects that really stuck with me was the show titled “Curls, curls, curls.” I thought that this project was particularly inspiring as it acted as an anthem for embracing ones inner self and appreciating your heritage and your roots. I thought that the print material was done excellently, and I agreed with the critics when they suggested finding a way for the magazines to make their way into schools or other educational institutions that can help inspiring young black women. I think that the mixed use of photography and typography was done very well and I really enjoyed the poems and stories that were shared through the magazines.
