I thought this section of the book was interesting coming from a point where I have just finished and turned in my portfolio for mid program review. I did a lot of trial and error and asking for help. The different companies and designers that wrote in this section all had different approaches to photographing their work that I think all had some very good pointers that I haven’t experimented with or really need to use yet because of the pieces that I have photographed. It was only in my 3D work where I really needed to worry about the shadows. I believe the consensus is just to pretty much figure out what works for you best and run with it. Also, you could always hire a photographer if you happen to have the money.
